Capital of Georgia

Tbilisi is the capital of the country of Georgia. Its cobblestoned old town reflects a long, complicated history, with periods under Persian and Russian rule. Its diverse architecture encompasses Eastern Orthodox churches, ornate art nouveau buildings and Soviet Modernist structures. Looming over it all are Narikala, a reconstructed 4th-century fortress, and Kartlis Deda, an iconic statue of the “Mother of Georgia.”

DAY 1 ARRIVAL

• Arrival at Tbilisi international airport
• Meeting and transfer from the airport to the hotel in Tbilisi (30-minute drive)
• Check into the hotel before 14:00 upon availability 
• Free time to explore the area 
• Overnight

DAY 2 TBILISI CITY TOUR 

• Breakfast at the hotel
• 11:00 am. Excursion to Old Tbilisi (duration of excursion 2-3 hours)
• Transfer to the hotel
• Overnight

DAY 3  KAZBEGI TOUR

• Breakfast at the hotel
• 10:00 am. Transfer to Kazbegi (2-hour drive)
• On the way Visiting Ananuri Fortress built in medieval centuries overlooking  the Zhinvali water reservoir ( 20 minutes)
• Continue way to Kazbegi
• 4x4 Transfer to Gergeti temple for an extra cost (35 USD)
• Go up to the  top of a high mountain (duration 2 hours)
• Transfer back to the hotel in Tbilisi
• Back to the hotel
• Overnight 

DAY 4 MTSKHETA/UPLISTSIKHE TOUR

• Breakfast at the hotel
• 10:00 am. Transfer for Mtskheta/Uplistsikhe Tour
• Visiting  the ancient capital of Georgia Mtskheta located within 20 kilometers from Tbilisi
• Excursion to Mtskheta, known as a town museum for its historical buildings and UNESCO Heritage monuments (duration of the excursion 1-2 hours) 
• Transfer for a tour to Uplistsikhe cave town (2-hour drive) 
• Transfer to Uplistsikhe cave town. Uplistsikhe is identified by archaeologists as one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. Strategically located in the heartland of the ancient kingdom of Kartli. With the Christianization of Kartli early in the 4th century, Uplitsikhe seems to have d declined in its importance and lost its position to the new centers of Christian culture- Mtskheta and later Tbilisi. 
• Transfer back to the hotel
• Overnight 

DAY 5 DEPARTURE

• Breakfast at the hotel
• 12:00 pm. Check out from the hotel transfer to the airport 
• Departure
• End of our services.
