Day 1: Amman
Arrive at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport and
transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Amman.
Day 2: Amman (212 kilometres)
Your morning tour introduces the major sights of Amman, including
the Citadel and the Temple of Hercules, before heading on
to Jerash. After lunch you visit the Dead Sea, where the highly
saline water makes floating easy. Overnight in Amman.
Day 3: Amman — Petra
(395 kilometres)
En route to Petra we stop to see the 6th century
floor mosaics at Madaba, the museums at Mukawir, and Mount
Nebo, believed to be the Tomb of Moses. Overnight in Petra.
Day 4: Petra (40 kilometres)
In the morning, we explore Petra’s magnificent tombs,
temples and other buildings, before visiting 8,000-year-old
Stone Age villages. Overnight in Petra.
Day 5: Petra —
Aqaba (185 kilometres)
Drive to Aqaba via Wadi Rum, one of the world’s most
extraordinary landscapes, where huge sandstone outcrops tower
over the pink desert sands. The area was the setting for many
scenes from the film ‘Lawrence of Arabia’. Overnight
in Aqaba.
Day 6: Amman (55 kilometres)
Depart from Aqaba Airport for Amman and transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Amman.
Day 7: Amman
There is time for shopping or sightseeing before transferring
to Queen Alia International Airport for
your flight home.
