Explore the World Heritage-listed rainforest
and the scenic beauty of the islands and the splendour of
the Great Barrier Reef. Accommodation aboard the 73-metre
Reef Endeavour is in staterooms and cabins. There are two
spacious lounges, two bars, swimming pool, sun deck and chart
house, fitness room, sauna, two spas, gift shop, laundry service
and 24-hour tea and coffee facilities. A range of water and
shore activities is available during the cruise, which may
be reserved and purchased on board.
Day 1: Cairns — Reef
In the afternoon, board the Reef Endeavour at Cairns’
Trinity Wharf, from where you sail to Fitzroy Island. Join
an escorted walk through the rainforest, inhabited by beautiful
ferns, native orchids and varied species of birds.

Days 2: Reef
Sail to Hedley Reef to view corals, giant clams and a myriad
of other marine life. Snorkel, dive or accompany a marine
naturalist in a glass-bottomed boat.
Day 3: Reef
En route to Dunk Island you sail past Hinchinbrook Island,
whose sandy beaches and rocky headlands give way to mangroved
foreshores where you can watch crocodiles. dolphins, dugongs
and whales are often seen in these waters. At Dunk Island
there is time to explore the rainforest and its flora and
fauna. In the evening attend the Captain’s Gala Dinner.
Day 4: Reef – Cairns
Return to Cairns in the morning.
Note: Departures are on Fridays and
Mondays. This itinerary is for Friday departures. Monday sailings
visit the same places but the sequence may differ.

Day 2: Perth — Cervantes

Pick your rental car and drive to Cervantes. Visit the Nambung National
Park and its major attraction – the Pinnacles, thousands of
limestone pillars, standing up to four metres tall that dot the
barren landscape. Overnight in Cervantes.
Day 3: Cervantes —
Geraldton (285 kilometres)
Today you drive to Geraldton via Badgingarra National Park, home
to an abundance of wild flowers. You are likely to encounter emus
and kangaroos as you walk along the Badgingarra Nature Trail. Overnight
in Geraldton.
Day 4: Geraldton —
Monkey Mia (410 kilometres)
Drive through the towns of Northampton and Binnu and on to Monkey
Mia, which has created international interest because of its dolphin
population at Shark Bay, a World Heritage area. The dolphins have
been visiting the beach since 1960. Overnight in Monkey Mia.
Day 5: Monkey Mia
Full day is at leisure to explore the wonders of Monkey Mia. Overnight
in Monkey Mia.
Day 6: Monkey Mia —
Geraldton (410 kilometres)
Today you drive via Denham and travel south, back through Northampton
and on to Geraldton. Overnight in Geraldton.
Day 7: Geraldton —
Perth (450 kilometres)
Drive via the Brand highway, passing the towns of Dongara and Eneabba
to Perth, where you drop off your rental car. Overnight in Perth.
Day 8: Perth
Spend the day at your leisure, perhaps to visit the exciting port
city of Freemantle before you transfer to the airport for your onward
or return flight.

Day 1: Melbourne
Arrive in Melbourne, where an afternoon city tour provides an enjoyable

Day 2: Melbourne – Adelaide
Today you fly to Adelaide. The rest of the day is free for you to
explore this attractive city.
Day 3: Adelaide
Travelling in a chauffeur-driven 1955 vintage Chevrolet, your tour
of the Barossa Valley, the country’s leading wine region,
is conducted in style!
Day 4: Adelaide — Alice Springs
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Alice
Springs. In the evening, enjoy a typical outback dining experience
at Overlanders.
Day 5: Alice Springs — Ayers
Rock
Spend the morning at leisure. Later, you take a flight to Ayers
Rock. In the evening, enjoy a sunset barbecue and a walk through
the Valley of the Winds.
Day 6: Ayers Rock
In the morning, you visit Ayers Rock and Hunters Cave.
In the evening you enjoy the Sounds of Silence dinner.
Day 7: Ayers Rock — Cairns
Leaving before sunrise, we take you to watch dawn over Ayers Rock.
Later you transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairns.
Day 8: Cairns
Today you take a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. Here you may
choose to float gently across the reef aboard a semi-submersible
or view the marine life from an underwater observatory.
Day 9: Cairns
This day’s tour takes you into the heart of one of Far North
Queensland’s World Heritage-listed rainforests. After lunch,
you watch a performance of the Tjapukai Aboriginal Dancers. You
will also be able to ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cable over the
treetops.
Day 10: Cairns — Sydney
You fly to Sydney. In the afternoon, explore this exciting city
on a tour. Spend the evening at leisure.
Day 11: Sydney
This day’s tour takes you to the Hunter Valley, the oldest
commercial grape-growing area in the country.
Day 12: Sydney
Transfer to Sydney International Airport for your onward connection
home.

In the morning you visit Ayers Rock. See ancient Aboriginal rock
paintings in the caves. In the evening you enjoy a walk through
the Valley of the Winds. Overnight in Ayers Rock.
Day 5: Ayers Rock – Cairns
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairns, gateway to one
of the world’s last great wilderness areas. The rest of the
day is at leisure – perhaps to explore the lovely waterfront
area. Overnight in Cairns.
Day 6: Cairns
The day begins with a journey on the breathtaking Kuranda scenic
railway. Enjoy a dance performance by the Pamagirri Aboriginal dancers
before visiting the Daintree Rainforest Nature Park, which boasts
of 40 hectares of flora and fauna set amidst the World Heritage
rainforest. Overnight in Cairns.
Day 7: Cairns
A full day to experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef on
a luxury catamaran cruise. Overnight in Cairns.
Day 8: Cairns – Brisbane
The morning is at leisure. In the afternoon you transfer to the

Travel to Geelong, where you join the Great Ocean Road, one of Australia’s
most spectacular and scenic drives. Drive to Apollo Bay via Bells
Beach, the world-famous surf beach. Overnight in Apollo Bay.
Day 4: Apollo Bay – Port Fairy
(190 kilometres)
Today you travel via Port Campbell to Warrnambool. Some of the best
sites here include The Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London
Bridge. Overnight in Port Fairy.
Day 5: Port Fairy – Mt Gambier
(195 kilometres)
Drive onto Portland, the oldest settlement in Victoria, and on to
Mt Gambier, known for its two famous attractions – the Blue
Lake and the cave in the centre of the city. Overnight in Mt Gambier.
Day 6: Mt Gambier – Robe (137
kilometres)
Depart Mt Gambier for the quiet seaside town of Beachport before
driving on to Robe. The museums and historic buildings are worth
exploring and the Little Dip Conservation Park is worth a visit.
Overnight in Robe.
Day 7: Robe – Victor Harbour
(350 kilometres)
Today you drive to Strathalbyn, a World Heritage town, before proceeding
on to Victor Harbour. One of the best known landmarks on the south
coast is Rosetta Bluff, a natural rock formation that dominates
the skyline just west of the city. Overnight in Victor Harbour.
Day 8: Victor Harbour – Adelaide (80
kilometres)
Drive to the McLaren Vale, home to the famous Hardy and Seaview
wineries, before you drive to Adelaide. Drop your car at Adelaide
Airport from where you take a flight to Perth and connect to your
return flight home.

Ayers Rock
Cross the Docker river and drive through the scenic Petermann Ranges
towards the Olgas. Watch a fascinating sunset over the world’s
famous monolith – Ayers Rock. Camp overnight.
Day 6: Ayers Rock – Kings Creek
Station
The day begins early to watch the sun rise over Ayers Rock. There
is enough time to explore the works of art and culture around the
base of the Rock. Later you head towards Kings Creek Station where
you can opt to indulge in activities like a camel ride or even a
helicopter ride over the George Hill Range. Camp overnight.
Day 7: Kings Creek Station –
Alice Springs – Perth
Today you explore King’s Canyon with its ‘Lost City’
and ‘Garden of Eden’, before driving to Alice Springs
from where you take a flight to Perth. Overnight in Perth.
Day 8: Perth
The day is at your leisure, perhaps to catch up with some souvenir
shopping to visit the exciting harbour town of Fremantle. Later
