The
Plaza Hotel Lucchesi (or the Lucchesi as our faithful guests call
it) is surely one of Florence's historical hotels. It offers a
solicitous, personalised service in a relaxed ambience. Among
those who have made the most of the wonderful view over the River
Arno or the Church of Santa Croce that can be enjoyed from our
rooms (all of them restructured in 2001), we may name diplomats
and celebrities such as Domenico Modugno and Marcello Mastroianni.
Florence is a city measured for pedestrians and the Plaza Hotel
Lucchesi is indeed the ideal place to start from to get the most
out of it. The hotel lies on the right bank of the River Arno,
between Santa Croce and Piazzale Michelangelo, a stone's throw
from the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel has its

Serra" Restaurant offers local and national cuisine with
a touch of internationality arising from the great experience
and professional expertise of our chef Francesco Pilia and
his collaborators. Stress is, however, laid on Tuscan cuisine
where fresh produce in season is always used.
As well as the menu à la carte, a special menu of the
day is offered for those requiring a full, but rapid, meal.
La Serra is also the ideal place to meet for business lunches
