LOCATION: Hotel
PRAHA was originally designed as a facility for the needs of government
and opened in 1981. At that time the hotel had to be a self-contained
unit, so that the guests did not have to leave the hotel complex
at all. To comply with this requirement, an enormous background
had to be built and many special provisions made. For example -
all the rooms are exceptionally spacious (non-comparably to any
other hotel in Prague!); hotel building is surrounded by a large
park to provide the privacy; a number of one-of-a-kind facilities
was installed inside the hotel, for example - unique private lifts
that help keep trespassers out of the prominent guests zone
There was absolutely no question of anybody else being allowed to
enter the garden area, not to speak of stepping into the hotel itself.
Excluded from this privilege stood even the family members of the
hotel staff. A logical question that comes to one's mind is, how
does the hotel past influences the present?
Even though it looks peculiar - this somewhat gloomy prestige has
turned out to be a certain attraction. It's no wonder the guests
want to get at least a hint of what used to be an exclusive gathering
point of former communist élite and spend at least a few
days at such a unique place. SHOW

ACCOMMODATION: All 124 rooms at Hotel
Praha command a stunning panoramic view of the city, with
a dramatic skyline punctuated by Prague Castle. Air conditioned,
each room leads out onto a private bush-framed terrace.2

(one of them modified for disabled) and 80 Double Rooms (with
the possibility of Single Use).

To
perform their everyday duties effectively, business travelers, as
well as their more leisurely tourist counterparts logically expect
a five star hotel to cater for their, after a long day´s negotiating
or sightseeing worn-down, psyches and bodies. Luckily, the Praha
Hotel is definitely not going to let them down.
The
list of facilities starts with the round-shaped swimming pool, which
has undergone a dramatic renovation recently, presently featuring
a state-of-the-art automatic dosage control of exclusively environmental-friendly
sanitation agents. You can rely on the water temperature being hooked
at the most convenient level of 24° C.
Also
the two saunas rank among the best available. Especially the appropriately
named VIP sauna is going to make even the most demanding feel at
home.
Further
attractions in newly reconstructed Relax Centre include fitness
with modern "TechnoGym" equipment, steam bath, solarium,
massages. Fitness bar offers its traditional skittles alley, billiard
tables, darts or table-football. There are an outdoor tennis and
volleyball courts situated right in the hotel park as well.
RESTAURANTS
& BARS: Beer Brasserie Stylish air-conditioned
facility which serves lunches, dinners, or meetings with food
service. This venue is popular for private parties and weddings
as well. Lobby Bar Lobby Bar next to the winter garden opened
to the summer terrace is open 24 hours a day. "Les Continents"
Spacious "Les Continents" Restaurant is popular
namely for the magical view of Prague it provides all year
round, but naturally also for its savoury traditional Czech
and International cuisine specialities. |
