HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Welcome at The Golden Star, a stylish four star hotel located right in the historical centre of the town, in close vicinity of Prague Castle, overlooking the Royal Route. A historical house in the picturesque area of the Lesser Town, only few steps from the main entrance to Prague Castle. The first written notes of the house date back to 1372, when it was owned by the Mayor of Hradčany. During the following century, the house changed its owners several times. Among them we can find servants of the Czech kings, members of different religious orders and many important Prague burghers. In 1723-1732, the house underwent a thorough and costly reconstructin that shaped its present aspect. After a complete reconstruction, in May 2000, the Golden Star, as a hotel, reopened its ancient gate. While carefully preserving the original architectural elemens, it offers full luxury of modern life comfort. The original 270 year old staircase, ornamental plaster ceilings and period wooden furniture accentuate the historical atmosphere of the house.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: The Golden Star offers accommodation in standard single and double rooms and commodious suites (up to 4 persons). The historic and romantic atmosphere of the interior is underlined by wooden period furniture. From the rooms, there is a wonderful view of Prague Castle, Royal Route and the Lesser Town rooftops. All rooms have comfort bathrooms, with a tub and/or a shower. The rooms are equipped with a hair drier, minibar, safe, direct dial telephone, TV set with satellite reception. There is a possibility of cable internet connection. The guest rooms´ as well as all public areas´ equipment meets the EU safety and fire protection standards.

HOTEL FACILITIES: The Golden Star contains a restaurant of the same name that offers perfect service and excellent kitchen. You can select from typical Czech specialities as well as from a wide assortment of interntional cuisine. The Golden Star restaurant is an ideal place for your meetings with friends or business partners, for celebrations of different social events and parties, or wedding receptions. The capacity of the restaurant is 70 seats.
