ITINERARY:

Day 1 - West coast Meet Greet at the airport, handover of the documents and “self-drive” – 50 km to the west coast and the hotel of your choice for the first two nights: Swalibo*** (not possible for triple room) or Iloha Hotel*** (based on standard room except for triple or with child based on deluxe room) or Nautile*** (situated directly on the beach). 

Day 2 - West coast Relax on the beach side of Saint Gilles les bains, Reunion’s little Saint Tropez or explore the mountainside of the west coast with its fantastic viewpoint to the cirque de Mafate. Overnight in the same Hotel.

Day 3 - Cilaos
Self-drive to Cilaos. Beautiful mountain climate with thermal springs. Overnight stay at the Vieux Cep ** (in superior room) or at the Hotel Tsilaosa *** (no restaurant)

Day 4 - Wild southern part of the Island
Early departure to the wild southern coastline of the Island. Flowers, lava streams, vanilla plants... much to see and enjoy.. Overnight at the charming Guesthouse “La Plantation” or for triple rooms at the Baril Hotel (basic comfort but exceptional site), situated on the most southern spot of the Island and right on the coast.

Day 5- Volcano
Early departure to drive up to “Le Tampon” and the “Pas de Bellecombe”. If there are no clouds you will be most surprised by the strange moon like scenery and volcanic surroundings. View point to the “Piton de La Fournaise”... continuation in the afternoon to La Plaine des Palmistes, the very green east coast of the Island and the cirque of Salazie with its magnificent waterfalls. Overnight stay at the Relais des Cimes ** in Hellburg.

Day 6 - Salazie
Self-drive to the airport for departure flight to Mauritius.

Day 1 - Cirque de Salazie
Meet Greet at the airport, handover of the documents and “self-drive” to the east coast and jungle like “cirque de Salazie”. Many waterfalls (there is one called “wedding gown”, rich vegetation all along your way. Overnight on half board at the charming Hotel Relais des Cimes** 

Day 2 - Wild southern part of the Island
Early departure to drive all around the Island and to enjoy the beautiful wild southern coastline of the Island. Flowers, lava streams, vanilla plants... much to see and enjoy.. Overnight on half board at the Palm&Spa Hotel**** in Grande Anse near Saint Pierre.

Day 3 - Volcano
Today we recommend you to discover the “Piton de la Fournaise” and the lunar like scenery of the Volcano Overnight on half board at the Palm&Spa Hotel**** in Grande Anse near Saint Pierre.

Day 4 & 5 - Cilaos – view point Mafate
Early check out and departure to the heart of the Island – the highlands of Cilaos. Don’t miss the lookout over the exceptional valley. Back to the coastline and up to Le Guillaume where you will find a charming small Guesthouse overlooking the Indian Ocean. The next day - it is the occasion to explore the mountain side of the west coast with its viewpoint to Mafate. 2 Overnight on Half board (drinks included) at the charming Guesthouse “La Clé des champs” in the Guillaume

Day 6 & 7 - Saint Gilles les bains
Today we drive back down to Reunion’s little Saint Tropez and relax on the beachside of Saint Gilles les bains. Overnight on Half board at the Hotel Boucan Canot**** in Saint Gilles les bains.

Day 8 - Saint Denis
Departure to the capital Saint Denis and drop off your car rental at the Apt for your flight to Europe or Mauritius Island.

Day 3 - Plaine des Cafres – Volcano and east coast
Return to the west coast and crossing of the Island direction La Plaine des Cafres, east coast and on to the beautiful cirque de Salazie.
