HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya's colorful history, and continues to be Nairobi's finest and best-known hotel. The town and later the modern city of Nairobi grew up around Fairmont The Norfolk hotel, which still has its own private tropical gardens. The hotel is still the traditional starting point for safaris and the Lord Delamere Terrace is modern Nairobi's most famous meeting place, where drinks and light meals are served continuously from morning until midnight. Fairmont The Norfolk was expanded in 1999 and subsequently renovated in time for its centennial, which it celebrated in 2004. The hotel now offers accommodations in 165 guest rooms and suites, has eight conference rooms, the largest seating 175 delegates, a heated outdoor swimming pool, health club with gym, sauna and steam room, beauty salon, book shop and gift shops.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: All guest rooms are luxuriously furnished, have plush carpeting and deep velour soft furnishings. The guest rooms all have bedside lamps, dressing tables, and built-in wardrobes, besides luggage racks. Every room has a telephone and telephone directory, direct dialling facilities, a television linked to satellite dish, electrical mosquito repellent and air conditioning. Back-up generators in the hotel allow for 24-hour electricity.

Junior Suites are spacious open-concept accommodations with HSIA, and a 4-piece en-suite marble bathroom with a separate shower stall. Each Junior Suite has a small seating area, desk, and an in-room safe. All suites are luxuriously furnished, have plush carpeting and deep velour soft furnishings.

Duplex Suite

The Duplex Suites are split level accommodations with either 2 Twin or 1 King bed. Each suite offers a private en-suite 4-piece bathroom with a separate shower stall. The guest bedroom is located upstairs.
The sitting room is located downstairs and offers a dining table as well as a delightful bay seating area overlooking the Kijabe Gardens. Additional amenities include in-room safe and weight scales in the bathroom. All suites are luxuriously furnished, have plush carpeting and deep velour soft furnishings.

Acacia Suites are very spacious luxuriously furnished accommodations with plush carpeting and deep velour upholstered furniture. They offer one King bed, HSIA, a large en-suite bathroom with a separate shower stall, a separate sitting room and a separate changing room.
Each guest room has an in-room safe and trouser press. In addition to the regular bathroom Amenities (see Common Amenities), the suites also offer cotton balls and weight scales.

Acacia Deluxe Suite

They offer one King bed, HSIA, a large en-suite bathroom with a separate shower stall, a separate sitting room and a separate changing room. They also have an in-room safe and trouser press, and in addition to the regular bathroom Amenities (see Common Amenities), the suites also offer cotton balls and weight scales.
Difference between these suites and the Acacia Suites is that the Deluxe Acacia suites offer a powder room, a dining table and chairs and a balcony overlooking the courtyard.

HOTEL FACILITIES: There are six restaurants in the hotel, one to suit every mood and palate. The Tea Room offers traditional high-tea in a comfortable setting. The relaxed setting of the Cin Cin Wine Bar is the perfect spot to unwind, while the Lord Delamere Terrace is the ideal spot for people watching. The extensive room service menu is always an option when a more private setting is preferred.
Cin Cin Wine Bar: Currently closed for refurbishments. Cin Cin is a warm, cozy space that gives way to a terrace in which several species of birds make home. Experience fine wines and spirits, complemented by flavourful hors d'oeuvres and attentive service.
Tatu Restaurant Opening in May 2009 a contemporary American steak house, featuring dry aged premium Kenyan Angus beef cooked sustained wood, as well as a variety of coastal seafood and the finest Kenyan Produce.
Swimming Pool Restaurant Elevated from the pool, the Poolside Restaurant has an outdoor canopied space. One side faces the pool whilst the other faces the Mugumo gardens. It is an ideal site for cocktail parties, group luncheons and dinners. The Poolside Restaurant is also the perfect setting for intimate, leisurely lunches. Light refreshments and drinks are served throughout the day, besides an a la Carte lunch. Seating capacity is 50 people. The Ballroom, which is the largest space offered at the hotel. This room pays homage to Kenya's history and has a remarkable collection of artwork and artifacts. It can be divided in two and is fully air-conditioned.

The Tinga Tinga Room can hold up to 60 people and is ideal for luncheons, cocktail receptions and conferences.

Conference Equipment
LCD projector, video cassette player, television, overhead projector, slide projector, flip chart, a projection screen, a lectern and public address system are all available for use. Rooms are provided with mineral water and glasses, and notepads and pens/pencils are placed for every delegate.
